Due to COVID-19 regulations and Public Health Gibraltar advice to avoid large gatherings and maintain social distancing, National Day this year will be different for all of us.

National Day fireworks will not take place this year and members of the public are strongly encouraged to avoid beaches and other public areas where National Day celebrations would normally take place. 

To avoid the spread of the virus it is advised to celebrate National Day at home with your family or members of an established social bubble. Any celebrations in public areas must be kept to small groups and social distancing requirements must be adhered to.

Restrictions on beaches for National Day will be implemented, if they become overcrowded and social distancing cannot be maintained.

If you are using leisure areas, bars and restaurants, then keep your distance from others, keep your group under 20 people and wear your mask where necessary.

Our Officers are working hard to ensure you can still have a safe and enjoyable National Day 2020, however we ALL have a responsibility to keep ourselves, our families and the whole of Gibraltar safe.
