Following a complaint by a member of the public, yesterday afternoon officers of the RGP’s Crime Division executed a search warrant at the residence of a 27year old local man in relation to an offence of Stalking
During the search the officers were alerted to the presence of drugs within the residence. An Inspector’s authority was obtained and the house was further searched for the drugs. Ten individual wrappers of Cocaine and a bowl containing a loose amount of suspected Cocaine were seized. The seized drugs had a total approximate weight of 14gms. Additionally, paraphernalia associated with the supply of drugs was also found within the residence.
The man was arrested on suspicion of:
Possession of Controlled Class A Drug
Possession with intent to Supply a Controlled Class A Drug
Suspicion of Stalking
He was conveyed to NMH where he was subsequently interviewed by the officers and was later granted police bail with conditions, whilst enquiries continue.
The seized drugs have an estimated street value of just under £900.
In a separate incident just after midday yesterday, an off duty Police officer arrested a 16 yr old juvenile on suspicion of:
Possession of Controlled Class B Drug
Possession with intent to Supply a Controlled Class B Drug
The arrest came about when the off duty officer came across the juvenile in the process of weighing a quantity of suspected Cannabis Resin. Once under arrest approximately 63.5g of Cannabis Resin were seized, as well as the digital scales.
He was conveyed to NMH where he was interviewed in the presence of his appropriate adult. He was later granted Police bail.
The drugs have an estimated value of just over £300.
