Did you know that before many large scale public events in Gibraltar, the area is searched by a team of specially trained Licensed Search Officers?
Our LSOs must have successfully passed an intensive 5-day course approved by the UK's College of Policing before they can join the search team.
RGP and GDP officers often work together as a unit to help clear buildings ahead of big events, find missing persons or recover evidence.
Here are a few photos of both forces working together to make sure various areas in Gibraltar are safe ahead of Lieutenant General Sir Ben Bathurst being sworn in as the Rock’s new Governor today.
