Man Arrested for Multiple Offences

Yesterday, just before 9am, officers arrested a local man, 57, on suspicion of Possession of a Controlled Class B Drug, four counts of Possession of Article with Blade in a Public Place and Theft.
His arrest came after police received a report that a man was loitering by Queensway Quay and smoking drugs.
On police arrival, a man matching the description given was found with a lock knife on the floor next to him.
Officers then searched the man and found cannabis resin, three further knives and four unopened X Box games, which appeared to have been stolen.
An investigation is ongoing.
