A second local man has been arrested in connection with the burglaries carried out at the offices of Prodomestics Ltd and the Gibraltar Sports and Leisure Authority’s swimming pool during early hours of Wednesday 24th January 2018.

In the early hours of the morning on Saturday 27 January 2018, 19 year old Jamil MEDHURST (1998) was sighted and arrested on suspicion of burglary by uniformed officers on patrol along Line Wall Road.

MEDHURST, who was subsequently interviewed by CID Detectives investigating the burglaries, has been charged with 2x counts of burglary.

He has been detained in police custody and will appear before the Magistrates’ Court on the morning of Monday 29 January 2018.

NOTE

MEDHURST’s brother, Nabil MEDHURST EL HABALI appeared before the Magistrates’ Court on Friday 26th January 2018 charged for these offences and was sentenced to 12 weeks imprisonment following a guilty plea.
