Officers investigating an allegation of Robbery on a 72 yr old man that occurred at about 0500hrs on Thursday 1st August, have arrested and charged 43 year old Anthony Gilbert with one count of Robbery and one count of Burglary.
Gilbert was arrested yesterday lunchtime. After continued enquiries and a search warrant, a knife matching a description given to police was found and seized. Gilbert was later interviewed under caution and was charged last night with the two offences. He was detained overnight in police custody and will appear before the Magistrates’ Court this morning.
