A number of road closures, diversions and parking restrictions will be in place ahead of and during tomorrow’s Ceremonial Guard Mount.
Organised by the Royal Gibraltar Regiment, the parade will see the new and old guards march between Ince’s Hall Theatre and Convent Place from around 1145am to 1215pm.
Teams of RGP officers will be policing the event and the force’s Roads Policing Unit will be implementing minor road closures and diversions, which members of the public and motorists should take note of.
Road Closures – In place from approximately 11.15am to the end of the parade
Main Street from the Trafalgar Interchange will be closed, northbound traffic will be diverted to Queensway.
Upper Town traffic will be diverted down George’s Lane onto Line Wall Road.
Parking Restrictions – from midnight tonight until the end of the parade
No parking from midnight on Saturday 5 October until further notice on Main Street between Ince’s Hall Theatre and Convent Place, Convent Ramp, King’s Yard Lane and Governor’s Street.
Signs are also already in place along the parade route advising that E-Scooters and bicycles are banned from being locked in and around the southern end of Main Street where the parade is due to take place.
