Five immigrants have been rescued from an inflatable dingy 7km south of Europa Point this morning.
At 0924hrs this morning the RGP Control Room received a distress call from a Moroccan male who was with 4 other males on a sinking 3-metre long inflatable.
A coordinated rescue was launched involving RGP Marine Section officers, GDP, HM Customs, the Gibraltar Port Authority and the Spanish authorities.
At 0944 the vessel was found in a shipping lane outside BGTW.
All five males, who were in good health, were rescued by Salvamento Maritimo with RGP Marine Section in attendance.
