A 38 year old British Citizen, Otman Lamroussi, appeared before the Supreme Court today and pleaded guilty to 1x count of Money Laundering and 1x count of false accounting.

Lamroussi was arrested on 2nd September on suspicion of money laundering and false accounting. He was subsequently charged with 5x counts of Money Laundering and 4 Counts of False Accounting and appeared before the Magistrates’ Court on 16th February. Due to the nature of the charges the Magistrates’ Court refused jurisdiction and referred the case to the Supreme Court.

The prosecution has not presented evidence in respect of the other the outstanding indictments The matter has been adjourned for the 27th July when a date will be set down for sentencing. Mr Lamroussi continues on court bail.
