A local man will appear before the Magistrates’ Court this morning after allegedly groping a woman this week.

James Earle, of Devils Tower Road, is alleged to have groped the victim on her bottom twice in the area of Winston Churchill Avenue at around 5pm last Wednesday.

After the incident, the woman took a photo of the man who allegedly groped her, which allowed Response Team officers to identify Earle.

Officers arrested the 45-year-old at his residence at around 3pm yesterday on suspicion of Sexual Assault.

He was also found to be in possession of cannabis and obstructed police on their arrival, for which he was also arrested. 

Late last night, he was charged with Sexual Assault, Obstructing Police and Possession of a Controlled Class B Drug.

He was remanded at New Mole House Police Station before his court appearance.
