At around 8pm on Monday 23rd of July officers of the Royal Gibraltar Police Marine Section arrested 3 persons, believed to be Moroccan nationals, for immigration offences.
The arrests came about when the officers had their attention drawn to a small inflatable canoe with the three individuals aboard about 1 nautical mile off Europa Point.
All three men, one of whom is aged 23 and two of whom are aged 22 were found to be in good health.
The three have been charged with the offence of being a non-Gibraltarian found in Gibraltar without a valid permit or certificate and will appear in the Magistrates’ Court this morning.
