The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the late Michael Montegriffo’s continues to be conducted by officers of the Crime and Protective Services Division.
A second post mortem was conducted by a Home Office Forensic Pathologist on Tuesday the 17th July 2018 with similar findings to the first post mortem.
During the course of Tuesday the 24th of July, uniformed officers have conducted searches in the Upper Town area. These searches are in furtherance of one of a number of lines of inquiry.
Officers are in contact with the late Mr Montegriffo’s family who are being kept informed on the progress of the investigation by specially trained officers.
Officers would like to thank members of the public who have made contact with investigators following the initial appeal for witnesses. Nevertheless, they wish to remind the public that anyone who believes that they may have any information that might be of assistance should contact police at the earliest opportunity.
